3 of our boys will be taking part in boulderactive this friday. so it'll be NICE if you would come down to support them kay. Especially the J1s. come down to experience how a comp is like and wow yourself with the many imba climbers there.

"Climb Asia needs 6 helpers for a speed comp tt they have organised for the Civil Service. Might need 4 more, will confirm.

In return, Climb Asia will credit $30 per person into the SAJC school climbing account."

Monday Training (23rd March), 5pm in School

Friday Training (27th March), 5pm in School.

Climb Asia is in Civil Service Club near Farrer Park MRT. Climbing fees are $12 for the whole day. If you are going as a school, it's $6.

You can get climbing shoes from Climb Asia or Peninsula Plaza.
We will be going down to buy shoes before the camp.

Rock Camp will be on 17th, 18th April.

Boulderactive is on this Friday (Novice category) at Velocity. It's from 9:30am to 5:30pm.

SHIRT ISSUES.AGAIN.

hello people.

i've contacted several shirt suppliers, the only company which have the colour that comes close to dark grey is cootonscape garments.see picture below.the guy mentioned that if we wanted the white to stand out, the red would be the best choice.

truthfully speaking i dont really know how the drifit material he has feels like, he mentioned that therewas high grade and mid grade but for the colour we want theres only midgrade.

also, i dont know how big the neckhole is.

price-wise i think it shouldnt be too bad, he quoted around 10 bucks for the initial design (which was school badge in the front, no deisgn at the back but only SAJC ROCKCLIMBING).

if we're deciding on the latest design dawn put up, i think its safe to say the shirt will come up to a max cost of $12. but like i said, i dont have any guarantees over how good the drifit is.

what do y'all think?

i'll bring this up during training tomorrow but please take a look first thanks.(:

hey guys, new tee designs. take your pick. we were thinking also of some one-liner to put in the front of the shirt, instead of the one in the picture. here's a few to choose from, or you can come up with some yourself and leave them here.

1. Rock camp has been postponed yet again!!
We can't have it on 27th, 28th March: ms. Wee's not around - no female teacher.
We can't have it on 3rd, 4th April: Life Concert
We can't have it on 10th, 11th April: Good Friday
We will have it on 17th, 18th April.

2. J1 selection will be soon, from what ms. Wee told me.
It could possibly this March holiday. Just for gossip sake.

2.5 There will be J1 training during the Match holiday.
Ben is taking them on Monday.

3. J1 EXCO selection will be on last week of April.
That's 2 weeks after rock camp.

4. J2 step down 3rd or 4th week of May, right before BT2.
That's 2 or 3 weeks after J1 EXCO selection.

- As of now, Bowen, Luqman and Wenyao have not paid. Please try to pass me the money when you all see me.

2. Climax @ Outram
- Just for general info, and for those who don't know yet:
we will NOT be taking part in climax@ outram because there isn't a suitable category to slot us into.

3. Boulderactive
- Those who were interested to apply for team, please take note that the girls will not be participating in boulderactive, soo...
you will either have to (i) sign up as an individual or (ii) find other girls to join your team
- Take into consideration that the early bird special ends 15 March, this Sunday. By signing up early, you get $5 off which is a pretty good deal. (:

Friday Training!

Hello People!

For the training this Friday, please have it in school, together with the year 1s.  On the menu are -

1.  Top rope climbing

2.  PT

3.  Bouldering

Pls introduce the Year 1s to the trainings that the seniors do BUT please don't tekan them.  Plan some easier variations of it.

Also, Boulderactive 2009 is just next weekend!  The novice and team categories are held on Friday, more info can be found at nusclimb.com.  Please come down to support the event at velocity@Novena.

For those who wish to represent SAJC, please understand that you will HAVE to put in more effort to do well.  Try to go Climb Asia or Yishun Safra on your own during weekends and try to complete your projects there.  All of you will need to improve on your weakness.

eg.

Mason, Dawn needs to climb faster and be more dynamic.

Chermain needs to fall more often.

Gabriel needs more endurance.

And all of you need more climbing time.  Time on the wall, not in the boulder gym.
