UPDATES

HEY ALL (JC1s),

there are several things I would like all lof you to take note.

1.We will like to reduce our reliance on relay system to inform every1 about rock climbing training. Hence, I advised all of you to check the blog daily if possible, if not at least the day before training for any information. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF WE DID NOT INFORM YOU OF ANY CANCELLATION, TRAINING WILL STILL BE ON EVERY WEDESDAYS AND FRIDAYS. There maybe trainings on mondays too but not unless we inform you all about it.

2. Wednesdays training starts at 4pm, ClimbAsia.

Fridays training at 430pm, school.

(Note that timing may not always be the same, we will inform you all if theres any changes in timing, otherwise stick to above timings.)

3. Openhouse on 1st August has been postponed to another day. Be prepared for that.

4. GABRIEL AND JOSHUA HAVE MADE into "ROCKAMANIA" FINALS! Their finals will be held this Saturday in the afternoon at Temasek Polytechnic. I would like to request the whole team to go down and support our finalists. It is not compulsory. However, I still strongly encourage you guys to go down and give them your support. GO GABRIEL AND JOSHUA!!!

Results of Rockamania - Men Novice (Open)

Hello ppl!

What a day, waking up so early on a Sunday! Luckily my reporting time is 1300hrs.

Anyway, attached above is the qualifying results, congrats to Gabriel and Joshua for going into the finals next Sunday. It wasn't without controversy though.

I made an appeal to the organisers regarding some lapses in the vetting of the competitors eligibility. Some of the names that were pushed into the intermediate category have more than 1 yr climbing experience. Especially those currently now in Secondary 3 and 4. As such, my appeal was successful.

To those who did not fare so well, take it easy. It is not easy handling your emotional, physical and mental state, and it is hard to perform at your optimal level. I'm sure you would have done better if it was just another climb at Climb Asia.

Even for myself, I was so nervous I felt pumped even before I started climbing!

Nonetheless, hurray for Gabriel and Joshua. Do us proud next Sunday. I'll try to do you guys proud too. I'm tied at 3rd place in the Men's Open Category.

Have a nice week of school ahead :)
Coach Ben

Thats all folks...

For NSSCC 2009

Congratulations to Mason and Gabriel for getting into the finals for the 'A' Division (Men) Lead.

Congratulations also to the guys speed team for securing 3rd in the 'A' Division (Men) Speed Relay Category.

Good Job to the girls speed team, although there were hitches today, at least you gals turned up to climb. Don't be too sad, there is room for improvement and there are still other competitions.

Thanks to all the supporters who sacrificed their time going down on any of the days. I'm sure all the participants appreciated your presence and that your presence did make a difference, so don't feel as if you wasted your time going down.

And of course, the biggest Thank You to our coach, Ben, for coaching us, advising us, teaching us and enduring all our bullshit and lackadaisical attitude.

Hello J2s,

I'm sorry for the delay in the return of the 30$ climbasia credit. I'll be passing to all of you next week. So please do check out the blog for details.

ps: Some of you will not be receiving the full 30$ because I paid it for your climb asia fees.

Regards,
Ji hae
